Dear Monika and Jean-Ann,
It has taken a little while for me to write this thank you because I wasn’t sure how to word it. I couldn’t think of an appropriate way to express my thanks for the great adventure that you took us on. Vietnam was never even on my radar until Sandra told us about her adventures with you. Your tour sounded like a great way to try something different. Here we are now, almost 2 weeks post Vietnam, and I am still finding myself looking at my pictures daily to try and keep the feeling of being there alive.
You managed to take 15 people and show them all of the great things about Vietnam, while keeping us all alive and very well fed. People keep asking me what the highlight of the trip was and I have a tough time answering. It was all great. If you had told me a year ago that my 50+ self would spend 4 days on the back of a motorcycle clinging to someone who I clearly outweighed by about 30 pounds, I would have told you you were crazy. In all honesty I was quite afraid of that part of the trip. 750 km later and all I could hear myself say was “One more time around!”. It was amazing and I would totally do it again in a heartbeat.
I could go on forever about all the great things about this trip. You managed to create a vacation that was the perfect balance of scheduled events and free time. And even when we had free time, we mostly followed you to wherever you were going because we enjoyed your company and you really know how to show folks a good time. I find myself longing for bike rides through rice fields, eating Bun Ga and Pho, dodging water buffalo on motorcycles – but mostly spending time with people who I now consider to be good friends.
I have no doubt wherever you go, whatever city you choose for your next tour, it will be great. You were born to do this. You may find us joining you on one of your next big adventures.
Thanks again – love you guys.
