And thank you so much, Monika and Jean Ann, for providing such a memorable experience. Did you know that I have always been fearful of motorbikes and my kids were forbidden to get one. Now they are framing the photo of their Motorcycle Momma.
Siem Reap was hot, as was expected, but we had some fabulous meals thanks to your suggestions. The sunrise Vespa tour at Angkor Wat is the only way to go in the heat.
I love your summary of “some of you’s”. As Shelley said, I am re-evaluating the spice cupboard and the seldom used jars in the door to my fridge. I bought several limes at my local produce and will try to incorporate them into my cooking.
Our Tuesday morning hiking group, of which Olga, Linda and Shelley are also members, listened with great enthusiasm to our stories about the tour and how well you organized you were with a sense of adventure, humour, and pragmatism. No doubt several of them will want to join you on an adventure soon. I am certainly looking forward to joining you again soon.
As I mentioned, I will most likely be heading to Ontario in the first half of August and you welcome to come and house sit here if you want. The only requirement is to water my planters while enjoying the fresh tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, etc.. I live on capreses in the summer. I am within a few minutes of Park Royal, Ambleside, the Seawall and Farmers’ Market.
I hope you have enjoyed your last few days in Vietnam and that you both have enjoyable visits on your next journeys to Portugal and Vancouver. I sense that more exciting experiences are in the near future for you.
Thank you so much again,
Nancy
